Resurrecting the Leviathan
Analog Pleasure was born here - amongst oily rags and wrench sockets in a humble garage. The whole purpose of AP is to celebrate doing & living over watching & wishing.
My first effort at engine rebuilding is my Cadillac 500 from a 1971 Eldorado. It's been bored .040 over bringing engine size to 509 cubic inches.
My intent was to raise the factory 8.5:1 compression ratio to 10:1 as seen on the 1970 models. Due to a vendor mistake, not realized until after I was complete, the compression now stands at 12.5:1. My solution was to convert to ethanol fuel.
While it is mobile, this chariot is a work in continuous progress. If you see a cool blue streak blazing down the boulevard, give a wave or toss out a thumb - you may just find yourself in the middle of a photoshoot.
